Zo’s Quest
So… I did it! I wrote a book!
Well, two actually. And I’m halfway through the third. The first two were written as one, and you won’t believe it, but I wrote them almost entirely with my right thumb, swyping on my phone’s Google Docs app, in 5-10 minute intervals between babies crying, and school bus drop-offs/pick-ups, training drivers and feeding our family.
Like I said, the first two books were originally one. It wasn’t until I pulled back from writing on my tiny phone’s screen, that I realized I had written a novel of mammoth proportions. But I was too in love with the story to chop it up, because although Zo’s Quest is 100% fiction, it is still very real to me. You see,
Zo’s Quest is my story.
It’s not just something I created, it’s my life’s journey made into a parable. The characters and events are of course made up, and there are story related elements that are extraordinary from my life, but the major experiences and people are my own. And if you know me, chances are you may find yourself hidden among the pages of Zo’s Quest.
As such, erasing or removing from what’s there feels like deleting pivotal points in my life. That is a non-option.
So to make it easier to consume, I’ve divided the one into two. And I’m following both with something totally new…
I hope you read it. And I hope you find yourself in it, too.
